Procurement manager 15G tram series 

Project: Procurement of new trams (15G series) for the Amsterdam region.

The tender procedure was conducted as a negotiated procedure with prior announcement.

The order relates to the supply of new tram vehicles for the tram network in the urban region of Amsterdam of which GVB is the operator. The requirement for new trams is due to the need to replace the current rolling stock (due to the end of service life), planned expansions and changes to the tram network and the planned expansion of fleet capacity. The objective is to start the inflow of the new Trams in the period 2019-2020.

The Order was broken down into an initial order and options. The initial order comprises the design, construction, testing and ready-to-drive delivery of 63 Trams. The supplier is also responsible for the approval of the Trams on the network. Furthermore, Options are requested for the supply of 60 additional Trams.
